The Spa Specialist Package bundles all three courses into one discounted enrollment and, upon completion, awards you a Spa Specialist Certificate that you can use to market your expanded expertise to clients and employers.

Courses Included in This Package
Aromatherapy for Massage 20 CE Hours
The most comprehensive of the three courses and the clinical foundation of this package. You will study essential oil chemistry, safety protocols, contraindications, therapeutic properties, blending principles, and how to integrate aromatherapy skillfully and knowledgeably into your massage sessions. This is not a surface-level introduction it is the depth of training that allows you to speak with genuine authority about what you are using, why, and how it serves each client.
Hot Stone Massage 10 CE Hours
One of the most requested specialty services in spa and resort settings. This course covers everything you need to deliver a professional hot stone session stone selection, heating equipment and protocols, sanitation, temperature management, placement technique, and full session design. Practical, detailed, and immediately applicable to your practice.
Spa Therapy Techniques 10 CE Hours
A comprehensive course in spa treatment modalities including body wraps, exfoliation, hydrotherapy, and related services. Whether you are working in a spa environment or building out your own service menu, this course gives you both the technical skills and the treatment knowledge to offer a complete, elevated spa experience.
Your Spa Specialist Certificate
Upon completing all three courses and passing each online exam, you will have the option to complete a brief set of certification questions that affirm your understanding of the course material. You will also receive personalized one-on-one feedback from Dr. Deanine Picciano. Once submitted with a one-time $35 processing fee, your Spa Specialist Certificate will be issued a credential documenting your specialized training across aromatherapy, hot stone massage, and spa therapy techniques that you can use in your marketing, on your website, and with prospective employers.
There is no internship or client documentation required beyond the certification questions and processing fee. There is no expiration date or renewal requirement for this credential once earned.

Course & Certification Details
Provider Approvals: All three courses are approved by the NCBTMB (Provider #280672-00) and are classified as kinesthetic. They are valid for most individual states, as well as AMTA and ABMP membership renewals. Florida therapists: all three courses are approved in the General category by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy (Provider #MCE-326).
New York Licensees: The New York State Board does not accept Spa Therapy as a CE topic. New York therapists are welcome to take these courses for professional development, but the Spa Therapy Techniques course will not count toward New York CE renewal hours. Please plan your renewal hours accordingly.
State Limitations: Some states limit the number of kinesthetic hours that can be completed online or via home study. Please refer to the IST State Guidelines page for your state's specific requirements.

After completing all three courses and passing each online exam, you will complete a brief set of inspiring and reflective questions affirming your understanding of the course material. You will also receive personalized one-on-one feedback from Dr. Deanine Picciano AP, LMT. A $35 processing fee applies. Upon submission, your Spa Specialist Certificate will be issued. No internship or client documentation is required.
How long will it take to complete this package?
The three courses total 40 CE hours. Plan for approximately 40 clock hours of study time from start to finish, though individual pace will vary. All courses must be completed within one year of enrollment.
Will these courses work on my phone or tablet?
Yes. The courses are accessible on all standard devices. We recommend taking the free sample course first to confirm that everything works on your specific device before enrolling.
Can I review course materials or reprint my certificate after completing the exam?
Yes. After passing each exam, you retain access to course materials, test results, and the ability to reprint your CE certificate for at least one year. We recommend saving copies of all certificates and any downloadable PDF files for your records.
