Stone Recommendations

Stones are not included with the course. You may source your own stones from nature or purchase a set from the supplier of your choice. When selecting a stone set, the following is recommended:

• 1 large abdominal stone approximately 5 inches or greater in diameter
• 8 large stones approximately 4 inches in diameter, for placement along the spine, under the shoulders, and in the palms
• 10 massage stones approximately 3 inches, or whatever fits comfortably in the palm of your hand for gliding work
• 10 small stones for use between the fingers and toes (optional)
• 2 eye stones approximately 2 inches, shaped to rest comfortably in closed eye sockets, for the cold face massage
• 5 face stones approximately 1–2 inches in diameter, for facial work

All working stones should be black (retains heat longer), flat (so clients can lie comfortably on them), and smooth (to avoid skin irritation). Face and eye stones should be flat and smooth; color is not critical for these.

This course does not fulfill any required live or hands-on classroom hours unless specifically approved for your state.

Florida Licensees: This course is approved by Florida as a distance learning course for the required "relevant to massage therapy" category hours through 8/31/2025 (approval #20-756971). You may complete the 12 required "relevant to massage therapy" hours via approved online courses through at least 2025.
