PLEASE NOTE: We provide the below information about your state as a courtesy, but cannot guarantee its accuracy because laws are continually subject to change. If you have questions about the information we have provided below, please contact your licensing agency directly. Your state board will hold you ultimately responsible for knowing the laws that apply to you. We do not deviate from our posted return and exchange policy if you later determine that a course you enrolled in is not valid for CEs in your jursidiction. NCBTMB requires that you complete 24 hours of Continuing Education classes every two years. Three hours of the 24 hours must be in ethics. (Three hours of research is no longer required as of February 2019.) No more than 4 hours of the 24 hours may be in self-care. All NCBTMB CEs can be taken through home study or online courses through the Institute of Somatic Therapy, provider #280672-00.
AMTA and ABMP require that you take 48 hours of Massage Therapy CEs every four years. Both Massage Therapy agencies allow all CEs to be taken through home study or online courses through the Institute of Somatic Therapy.

Idaho Massage Therapy Continuing Education Requirements:
Idaho Massage Therapy licensees must complete a minimum of six (6) hours of continuing education, which includes one (1.0) hour in ethics, within the preceding twelve (12) months of their license renewal date. All CEs must meet the requirements in Sections 501, 502 and 503 of Idaho massage therapy rules.
Idaho allows a carrying over of up to six CEs from one renewal cycle to the next. A maximum of six (6) hours may be carried forward from the immediately preceding year, and may not be carried forward more than one renewal year. This rule would allow you to apply up to 12 CEs from a single class over a two-year period. For example, if you were to take our 12 CE Prenatal Massage Fundamentals, you could apply 6 CEs to your current cycle, and carry over the remaining six CEs to your next cycle.
Idaho Massage Therapy Continuing Education Courses Accepted:
Idaho accepts hours approved by the NCBTMB, so our courses are valid for your license provided that they meet the above requirements.
