Delaware Massage Therapy Requirements
Institute of Somatic Therapy is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Our NCBTMB continuing education Approved Provider Number is 280672-00. Our Florida provider number is MCE326 (50-1116 on CE Broker). Our New York provider number is 0019. Our Massage Therapy CE hours are valid for ABMP, AMTA, and most states.

NCBTMB requires that you complete 24 hours of Continuing Education classes every two years. Three hours of the 24 hours must be in ethics. (Three hours of research is no longer required as of February 2019.) No more than 4 hours of the 24 hours may be in self-care. All NCBTMB CEs can be taken through home study or online courses through the Institute of Somatic Therapy, provider #280672-00.
AMTA and ABMP require that you take 48 hours of Massage Therapy CEs every four years. Both Massage Therapy agencies allow all CEs to be taken through home study or online courses through the Institute of Somatic Therapy.

Delaware Massage Therapy Continuing Education Requirements:
Active Massage Therapist’s and Technician’s must complete 24 hours of approved CE during each full licensure renewal periods between September 1 and August 31 of even-numbered years.
The CE must include at least:
3 hours in Ethics, which may be taken in a classroom or online
9 hours of Core credits – which must be taken in a classroom hands-on setting
12 hours of Elective or Core credits which may be taken online
Online Courses cannot make up more than 50% of your total CE hours, the remaining 50% must be in a classroom hands-on setting. All courses must be approved by NCBTMB, AMTA or Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork.
Delaware Massage Therapy Continuing Education Courses Accepted:
The Institute of Somatic Therapy is NCBTMB approved. As such, our Massage Therapy online courses are fully valid for you to legally practice, and can apply to up to 50% of your renewal requirements, provided that they fit within the above listed rules.
