Florida Laws (2 CE hours)

Covers the current laws and rules governing massage therapy practice in Florida your rights, your responsibilities, and the regulatory framework your license operates within. Required for every Florida renewal cycle. Things change and you need to know what's new.

Prevention of Medical Errors (2 CE hours)

Florida-mandated training on error prevention in clinical settings how errors occur, how to recognize risk factors, and the systems and practices that protect your clients. Required for every Florida renewal cycle. This will help you avoid preventable medical errors.

Ethics Confidentiality (2 CE hours)

Satisfies Florida's ethics requirement through a focused examination of confidentiality in massage therapy practice client privacy, documentation, and the professional standards that protect the therapeutic relationship. A must for a successful practice.

Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention (1 CE hour)

Florida-mandated training covering how to recognize the signs of human trafficking, your reporting responsibilities as a licensed practitioner, and resources available to survivors. Required for every Florida renewal cycle. You could be the one who recognizes the signs and saves a life.

Please note: One hour of HIV training is no longer required for Florida massage therapy renewals. This package reflects the current renewal requirements.

Is This Package Right for You?

This package is designed for Florida-licensed massage therapists in good standing who are renewing an active, valid license. If your Florida license has lapsed and you are working to reinstate it, you most likely need the 10-hour Florida Laws course rather than this renewal package. Please confirm your license status before enrolling.

If you plan to apply these hours toward a different state license or national board renewal, it is your responsibility to verify that those hours will be accepted in your jurisdiction. Many boards will not accept state-specific law hours from another state. The NCBTMB does not recognize Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention as an approved CE topic, so that hour is unlikely to count toward national board renewal.

The Institute of Somatic Therapy reports your completed hours to CE Broker automatically but only if your Florida license number is on file in your IST account before you complete the online exam. Log in to your account and select Edit under your account information to verify or add your license number before you begin. Hours are reported weekly, and more frequently as the renewal deadline approaches. Once your hours appear in CE Broker, you will have the opportunity to rate the course if we've earned a good rating, we'd appreciate you taking a moment to share it.

Yes automatically, at no extra step on your part but only if your Florida license number is listed in your IST account before you complete the exam. Add it before you start testing to make sure your hours are reported without delay.

What if I fail the exam?

You may retest as many times as needed at no additional charge. A printable study guide with the exam questions and answer choices is included with each course work through it as you study, then log in to submit your answers when you're ready.

Are the course materials downloadable?
